UNDR CTRL compared with the usual reseller and budget apps

If you sell on the side, you probably keep the money in two places: a reseller tracker for what each flip made, and a budget app or a spreadsheet for the bills those flips pay for. Here is what each kind of tool usually does, what it leaves out, and where UNDR CTRL fits.

We read the public pricing and feature pages of 10 reseller trackers and 4 popular budget apps on October 16, 2026. The figures below are ranges and counts across those tools. Prices and features change, so check any tool’s own page before you decide.

The short version

  • If all you want to track is reselling, and you want an eBay import, a mileage log or an app from the store, a dedicated reseller tracker does more of that than UNDR CTRL does today.
  • If you want an app that refreshes your bank balances on its own every day, a bank-linked budget app does that and UNDR CTRL does not.
  • If you want the sales and the bills they pay for in one place, with Net on every sale and no bank login, that is the gap UNDR CTRL fills. None of the reseller trackers we checked tracks bills, and none of the budget apps tracks fees and net per sale.

Counts across 10 reseller trackers and 4 budget apps, from each company’s public pages on October 16, 2026. Where a page did not say, we did not count it. UNDR CTRL facts are from its own plans and app.

What reseller trackers usually do better

  • Importing eBay sales. Most connect to eBay on a paid plan and pull your sales in. UNDR CTRL does not import sales yet; you mark items sold, type a line, or paste a list.
  • A mileage log. Half of the trackers we checked have one. UNDR CTRL does not.
  • Tax-category reports. Half offer reports grouped by tax category. UNDR CTRL gives totals for your own records and no tax advice.
  • A free tier. Most let you track a small number of items for free, for good.

What budget apps usually do better

  • Automatic updates. A linked account refreshes on its own. With UNDR CTRL you import a statement when you choose to.
  • Budgeting methods. Envelopes, categories and spending targets. UNDR CTRL shows what is due and what that leaves, not a budget.
  • App store apps. All four are in the iPhone App Store.

What UNDR CTRL does that neither usually does

  • Sales and bills together. Net on every sale, with month and year totals, on the same screen as the bills those sales pay for.
  • Bills without a bank login. Import the CSV your bank already gives you, and UNDR CTRL finds the bills that repeat. How the import works.
  • Tasks and dates. Shipping tasks, home upkeep and car dates live next to the money, and every dated item shows in your own calendar.
  • A fee estimate you can overwrite. Each sale starts with the platform’s published fee, and your payout’s number takes over when you type it. Try the same math in the net after fees calculator.

What none of them do

UNDR CTRL never creates, edits or removes a listing on any marketplace, so it cannot cause an oversell by missing a delist. Almost none of the trackers we checked list or delist either; that is a crosslister’s job, which is a different kind of tool. None of these apps is your accountant.

Who should pick which

  • A reseller tracker, if reselling is the only thing you want to track and an eBay import or a mileage log matters most.
  • A bank-linked budget app, if you want balances that refresh themselves and a budgeting method, and you are comfortable linking your bank.
  • UNDR CTRL, if your side hustle and your bills are the same problem, you will not hand a bank login to anyone, and you want 30 days with everything on before you decide.
