FEE GUIDE

Facebook Marketplace seller fees, worked out

A local pickup on Facebook Marketplace has no fee. A sale shipped through Facebook checkout pays 10% of the whole sale, with a minimum of $0.80.

The rate is Facebook Marketplace’s published standard rate, checked October 16, 2026 on Meta, Seller Protection Policy. Fees change, so check that page before you rely on a number. This is a guide to a platform’s fees, not tax or accounting advice.

The fee

Shipped: 10% per sale, at least $0.80. Local pickup: no fee. The entire amount of the sale, which includes shipping and any sales tax. Facebook’s Marketplace shipping page still says 5%; its Seller Protection Policy says 10%, and we use 10%.

What you keep at common prices

What is left of the sale price and the shipping the buyer paid, after the platform’s fee and before your label and what the item cost you.
